Regular AA batteries are always 1.5V for voltage, but rechargeable AA batteries that I have seen are either 1.2V or 1.25V. Why is that? Also what (harm) does the slightly lower voltage do to my devices such as digital cameras, remote controls, wall clocks etc?

Nickel-cadmium battery – The electrodes are nickel-hydroxide and cadmium, with potassium-hydroxide as the electrolyte (rechargeable). Nickel-metal hydride battery – This battery is rapidly replacing nickel-cadmium because it does not suffer from the memory effect that nickel-cadmiums do (rechargeable). Lithium-ion battery – With a very good power-to-weight ratio, this is often found in high-end laptop computers and cell phones (rechargeable). Zinc-air battery – This battery is lightweight and rechargeable. Zinc-mercury oxide battery – This is often used in hearing-aids. Silver-zinc battery – This is used in aeronautical applications because the power-to-weight ratio is good.

be careful using purple. it can quickly become a color that is sort of sickening when you have to live in it for too long.
(im 14 and my room was purple for a while. I quickly realized it was NOT what i was looking for.)

But anyway, good choice making one wall an accent wall. (the dark purple). just keep in mind that that is going to be the attention grabber in the room. Put decor or seating that keeps the person looking in the room’s attention on the wall for more than 2 seconds.

Good idea with the bed. The loft feel is very in right now and it saves space by giving you storage underneath. That is something you will need even more as u get older, trust me.

However, since a desk is included with the bed, I wouldn’t buy the writing desk, though it is cute and i looked at it myself also. Two desks will make the room confusing and might make people double take in the wrong ways.

You dont need much money for this makeover. The most expensive thing will be the bed. $800 is way too much. I redid mine in much less when I replaced my desk, my dresser, night stand, and added a bookcase, plus wall murals.

As for decor, you have the right idea. Making things is an easy way to ensure that you are getting exactly what you want.
For example: A clear vase with black stones at the bottom and purple and white fake flowers coming up from them.

ALSO: just know that the "you" that you are now, will change a lot through junior high. Make sure that before you dive into this, you have a room/color palette that lends itself to other ideas later. The color not so much, because painting is easy, but make sure that the furniture you choose is something that is subject to change just in case the color palette does.

what do you think of the start of my story?
i’m 16 and have no professional writing experience at all….so here goes

The rain poured heavily from the sky blanketed in dark clouds. Peering through the small circular window covered in layers of fog, it was difficult to see beyond the glass. Having leared a small patch on the glass with my hand, a faint image of what was going on outside became visible. The storm was furious. The heavy clouds and blinding flashes of lightning followed by turbulent crashes of thunder filled the sky above the small town. Despite the temper of the raging
storm, I felt no hint of concern. When the weather got like this, it never lasted for long periods of time. I let out a soft sigh and glanced over to the digital alarm clock that sat on a wooden desk that sat against the wall left of me. It was 7:00 in the morning, and I assumed that my parents would be waking soon, so I decided to go downstairs for breakfast, although I didn’t feel like eating much. I turned away from my window and slowly started making my way through my messy and dim lighted, but stumbled over a pair of black converse shoes tossed messily onto the carpeted floor. I let out a groan as I hit the floor. I cursed a little under my breath as I stood back up and continued on my way out, almost tripping over an old and empty pizza box. "I really need throw that away!" I said aloud to myself. And it was true…the box has been in there for a long while now, and it’s starting to smell funny. I picked the box up off the floor and walked over to the door and then I let out another sigh and left the room. I walked across the hallway over to the stair case and fought my worst instincts to slide down the railing.

‘Get it? Or don’t you’……not needed in the slightest! Ticks don’t necessarily haunt so much…as they suck blood from the living! ‘But hon’…not necessary. Oh, so much….but, do you really think ‘do you know what time it is’ is neccessary? What about just ‘Watch your clock’ as a BAM ending line….since you’ve been writing of Time all along.
In some places, you’re flat-out ‘telling’ the reader the meaning, instead of ‘letting’ the reader assign their own meaning. You know what I’m talking about, too.
This is SO close to GREAT it’s scarey!
